Train From NăĽrnberg
Train from NĂĽrnberg
I took a train from outside of NĂĽrnberg carrying a bag of rice
looking for a tall blond looking for a stranger looking for somebodys eyes
I woke up wednesday or tuesday morning with a headache so unreal
she was there beside me and she said well how do you feel
Im looking out the window-High up into the sky
My head is filled with broken bones and words that dont apply
I had a job as a pianoplayer in a town by the atlantic coast
played them songs I didnt know and the ones I hate the most
Living upstairs in an abandoned factory with pigeons in the morning light
people come and sing and play, make fires in the night
High up over the rooftops- Higher than everything
sitting above a moonlit town hearing it softly sing:
Summertime will come in time
Summertime will come and fry your old mind
Tell me if youre just like I am
Have you heard the churchbells chime as he climbs on the vine
thru the season
I stood and watched as the freighters were sailing they were heading out
away from shore
Bound for south america panama and singapore
the winds were blowing thru the docks and trainyard blowing thru a human
soul
blowing thru the backstreets and the places where you wouldnt go
High up over the rooftops- Higher than everything
sitting above a moonlit town hearing it softly sing:
Time will come and pass you by
and sometimes you'd rather die for a while
whith the ocean by your side
and the silence in the sky and the night and the tide
as a reason
Summertime will come in time
Summertime will come and fry your old mind
Tell me if youre just like I am
Have you seen the churchbells chime as he climbs on the vine
thru the season
